Muscle building tips are just put in place to act as guidelines but it is important to discover the best method for your body.

Make sure that the goals that you set for yourself are realistic and reachable. Don't set goals too high or you will be disappointed when they don't happen instantly.

Follow these muscle building tips to get you on the right track.

Start to build muscle by lifting a medium weight and doing higher amounts of repetitions. Make sure that you include dead lifts, squats and bench presses in your workouts as they are proven to add bulk and improve conditioning.

Make sure that you push to maximum effort every time. Start off with a heavier weight and push yourself until you cannot do any more. Continue on this weight for three sets but lower the amount of reps you do per set.

Make sure you train enough to see results. The amount of exercise needed is very dependant on your metabolism and differs for everyone. Three sessions per week should be kept as the minimum.

Focus on either cardio or strength training. These two techniques have very different and converse training methods and results will be better experienced if you focus on one specific area.

Give your body enough fuel to work. We need carbohydrates to burn as fuel. If our bodies have insufficient fuel it will start to break down muscles as protein. Protein is also important for the recovery and development of muscles and should be consumed before and after workouts.

Make sure that your body gets enough rest as it is during sleep that your muscles repair and recover.

Genetics play a large role in the ability to pack on muscle so if this is not the way you are built don't despair as there are always ways of improving your body shape, health and fitness.
